It's Over

You said,
The words hit me in the face like a hail of ice.
Cold hard and painful.
You turned and walked away.
Something warm was beating in my hands,
Something I gave to you when we first met.
I looked down and saw my heart,
Bruised and battered but still beating rhythmically,
slowly...
I smiled as you walked off
Yes, it's over...
and I am FREE.

Forget

Soon I'll forget
The good the times,
The laughs we had,
The time we shared,
Soon I'll forget
The silly moments,
The promises made,
The first day we met.
Soon I'll forget...You.

Today I saw...

Today I saw a homeless man curled up in a dark corner drinking a bottle of beer. I saw three Chinese men walking passed, I couldn't hear what they were saying but I'm sure they were complaining about the cold.
I saw two men stranded by the side of the road, one white one black, yet no passersby offered to help as they drove past. I saw a man and a boy, the father carried a loaf of bread and the son carried a small bottle of milk, they were talking about spaghetti and mince. I saw a man crossing the street aimlessly walking without a goal or destination, he's eyes fixed on the ground. I saw an old truck driver whistling at a scantily dressed woman who crept out of the darkness. I saw a blue light brigade speeding off in the distance, I passed an eerie looking building, the lights were on but nobody was home. Today I saw all these people, and I wonder if any of them saw me...

Still Standing here

So I'm standing here, waiting for u to come back.
I'm standing here,Hoping things will be the way they were,
I'm standing here where u left me so many years ago.
I'm standing here haven't moved at all, you moved on but I haven't.....
so I'm still standing here...

Looking at each other

And they just stood there looking at each other,
neither uttering a single word,
just stood there,
silently,
awkwardly,
The air was cold,
The night was dark,
They just stood there looking at each other,
All the love, all the joy, all the passion,
Gone.
Now only hate, sadness and regret remain,
They just stood there looking at each other....
